How to Vote


Voting in the Municipal Election can be a little confusing so we've made it easy for you.

 

Below is a map of Ward 9 and a list of polling stations in the ward.

3 Opportunities to Vote

 

Advance Vote:

October 4 - 13, 2017  -   1:00pm - 7:00pm

@ Terwillegar Recreation Centre (Multipurpose Room #4, Main Floor)

If you aren't able to vote on election day or you already know who you will be voting for you can cast your ballot early at the Advanced Voting Station designated for Ward 9.

Election Day:

October 16, 2017  -   9:00am - 8:00pm

@ Your designated voting location

Cast your ballot at the voting station that is designated to your home. A "Where to Vote" card will arrive in your mailbox early October with info about your voting station. You can also use the online "Where to Vote" tool on the Edmonton Elections website www.edmonton.ca/election

Special (Mail In) Ballot:

This type of voting is intended for the people who will be out of town on Election Day, who are unable to get to a voting station, or who are campaign workers. If you fall into one of these groups, please visit the link for further information on procedure and guidelines @ www.edmonton.ca/SpecialBallot

 

What to Bring

 

To vote you will need a valid piece of ID that confirms your age and residential address. 

You can bring: Drivers License, Bank Statement, Utility Bill, or Personal Cheque 

Do not bring: Passport, Alberta Health Care Card, Birth Certificate or Work/Student ID
